Esenz Body Care is a New Zealand based organisation which uses only natural ingredients in its products. There are no synthetic perfumes, colours or products.
It s founder, Desarae Williams, has always been interested in herbal medicine, massage, plus alternative and complementary health.
This organisation started after Desarae's husband started bee keeping to help pollinate her intensive permaculture garden. Hating any waste, she sought a way to start using the beeswax that was a by-product after extracting their honey.
Starting off with making a simple lip balm, this venture soon expanded into more developing more balms, then creams and much more. The recipes now used in these products took a lot of experimenting, trial and error to perfect.
All products are manufactured in Whangarei, NZ, using many of the herbs and flowers from Desarae's own garden as well as the honey and beeswax. We also source as many local ingredients as we can and try to buy organic, where practical.
All have been tried out before use or trialled by those with certain conditions (e.g. the Eczema Balm) to check they really work before selling.
No animals have been used to test these products.Because they are made from natural ingredients.
The shelf life of some of these products is not as long as most commercial products. While the balms will last for many years, the creams will generally last about a year.
We only use a preservative called Geogard 221, which originates from the olive plant and is eco cert approved. When you read the back label of our products, you will recognise pretty much all of the ingredients, most of which you could safely eat.
